How Engagements Work
Clear Terms, No Surprises
A plain-language summary of how projects with Branning Studio run, from the first call to life after launch.
- How does a project start?
- With a free 20-minute discovery call. We talk through how your business runs, where it loses time or money, and whether a custom system is the right fix. If it isn’t, we’ll say so.
- What is Paid Discovery?
- A short, paid engagement where we dig into your tools, data, and workflows. You get an integration and feasibility review, an architecture and data map, and a fixed-fee proposal for the build. The plan is yours to act on — with us or without us.
- Does the Paid Discovery fee count toward the build?
- Yes. If you move forward with the build, the Paid Discovery fee is credited toward it.
- How is a build priced?
- Builds are fixed fee, starting at $10K, based on the scope agreed in the proposal. You know the price before the build starts.
- What does working together look like during the build?
- You get a dedicated Slack channel, clear milestones along the way, and regular product sync meetings so you see progress and can steer early.
- What happens after launch?
- Most clients keep us on a monthly retainer — not to ship new features, but to keep the system improving: refinements, bug fixes and monitoring, and help as you scale. When a bigger change is needed, it’s scoped as its own build.
- What is the AI Strategy Session?
- A one-on-one video call with Andrew of up to two hours, for $500, for teams already using Claude or ChatGPT. Andrew reviews how you use AI today, helps you document how your business works so AI can use it, and guides you through setting up projects and built-in connectors while you drive. It includes a written recap. There is no coding; custom software starts with a Paid Discovery.
- How do I book or reschedule the AI Strategy Session?
- Book a time through the scheduler on this site. Your booking confirmation from Google Calendar includes a link to reschedule or cancel.
- Where are payment terms, ownership, and support details?
- In your project agreement. This page is a plain-language summary; the signed agreement for your project is what governs.
