Why Design Matters

AI Writes the Code. Judgment Decides What It Builds.

Anyone can prompt AI to write code. Knowing what’s worth building is the hard part. Andrew spent years behind a camera and a layout table learning what to keep, what to cut, and what makes people care. That eye now directs the AI, so every build lands on the right answer, not just the fastest one.

  • Judgment

Knowing which problem is worth solving and which AI output to throw away. Speed only helps when it’s pointed in the right direction.

  • Taste

A photographer’s and publisher’s eye for composition, hierarchy, and detail, so what ships feels considered, not generated.

  • Strategy

Every build starts from how the business makes money. The AI does the heavy lifting; the team decides where it goes.

Branning Fine Art

Custom Prints and Gallery Days

At Branning Fine Art, his own gallery, Andrew produced custom black and white prints in-house, controlling every tone from capture to the final print, and showed his work across the Southeast. The gallery closed after the COVID-19 pandemic, but that discipline of composition, contrast, and restraint still shapes how the team designs software.
